The third volume in John Power’s series ‘A Maritime History of County Wexford’ was launched in the presence of  a large audience gathered in the Talbot Hotel last Friday night, 5th Sept.  This book covers the period from 1961 to 1998, a period when sailing ships and steam vessels had mostly disappeared and witnessed the withdrawal of many of our lightships around the Wexford Coast.  It is the third instalment from this well-known author and community activist, who  has traced the maritime history of County Wexford as never before.
