On Thursday 16th May Wexford Local Development called for applications as it launches the Community Fund for Men’s Groups / Projects 2013. The Fund supports the participation of Men in community activities which create opportunities for social interaction leading towards good physical and mental health.
The Fund is for small and simple one off projects requiring €400 or less and taking 6 months or less to complete.
In 2012 the Fund supported more than 20 groups throughout County Wexford. A wide range of activities included Sawdust briquette making in Kilmore, Horticulture in Horeswood, Allotments in New Ross, Patricks Day float in Ramsgrange and Boat building in Bannow.
In an effort to get more young men involved the 2013 Fund gives priority to those applicants who demonstrate they are engaging with men in the 18 – 25 age group.
Application forms are available at any of the Wexford Local Development Offices or can be downloaded below. Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 14th June.
