Shortly after being voted Ireland’s Best Family Day Out by Today FM listeners, Wells House & Gardens has received another national award.
Sabine Rosler of Wells House and Gardens has won first prize in the Agri Business Innovation Award at the FBD Women and Agriculture Awards sponsored by FBD, Teagasc & the Farmers Journal. These awards provide a national platform to recognise the contribution women make to ensuring the future security of the farming sector. They are designed to highlight the entrepreneurial spirit and the drive needed to develop a successful sustainable business.
Wells House and Gardens were visited in early September by adjudicators Mary Lyons of Teagasc, Carolyn O’Hara of FBD and Katherine O’Leary of the Farmers Journal. They spoke with Sabine in relation to her business plan and the motivation behind opening the house and gardens to the public, the strategy required to make the new tourist venue a success and what a normal day is like for Sabine in her role as owner and manager.
WLD would like to congratulate Sabine, Uli and all the team at Wells House on yet another great achievement for the highly successful visitor attraction.
Sabine will now go on to represent Ireland in the EU Innovation Awards being held in Brussels in October 2016.
