Wexford Local Development would like to invite applications for the following position:

CE Supervisor, Little Jobs Service – Wexford

Wexford Local Development (WLD) is a community-based organisation working for Co. Wexford.   Our work is informed by our organisational values of Respect, Equality, Leadership, Inclusion and Integrity.

We now have an exciting opportunity to work with us as a full time Community Employment Scheme Supervisor on the Little Jobs Service. Community Employment Schemes and the Little Jobs Service are one of several programmes delivered at local level by WLD on behalf of local and national Government to create opportunities that promote equality and inclusion and improve quality of life for people and communities.

 

We are looking for a person with supervisory experience, who is highly organised, resourceful and empathetic person, with excellent interpersonal and team skills, who is passionate about supporting people to reach their full potential and is energised about making a positive difference in a person’s life.

The successful applicant will work as part of our broader WLD team and will have the following:

  • A recognised 3rd level qualification (Level 6 NFQ or higher) preferably in Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources or project management.
  • A minimum of 3 years previous supervisory and people management experience relevant to the post.
  • Direct experience of working with marginalised communities
  • Experience of working using community development approaches
  • Experience of working collaboratively with agencies and
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and ICT skills
  • Access to transport and a full clean driving

The position is being offered on a full-time basis 39 hours per week. The salary for this position will be paid at the DSP CE supervisor pay scales with new applicants commencing at point 1.
