 Community Employment Scheme Supervisor – Little Jobs Service 

Wexford Local Development (WLD) is a community-based organisation working for Co. Wexford.   Our work is informed by our organisational values of Respect, Equality, Leadership, Inclusion and Integrity. We have an exciting opportunity to work with us as a Community Employment Scheme Supervisor on our Little Jobs Service. The Little Jobs Service is one of several programmes delivered at local level by WLD to create opportunities that promote equality and inclusion and improve quality of life for people and communities.  The Little Jobs Service provides a helping hand in the community by carrying out garden maintenance and other small jobs in the homes of older people throughout the county.

We are looking for a person with supervisory experience, who is highly organised, resourceful and empathetic person, with excellent interpersonal skills, who is passionate about supporting people to reach their full potential and is energised about making a positive difference in a person’s life.

The successful applicant will work as part of our broader WLD team and will have the following:

  • A recognised 3rd level qualification (Level 6 NFQ or higher) preferably in Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources or project management. A recognised qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory and people management experience.
  • Direct experience of working with marginalised
  • Experience of working using community development
  • Experience of working collaboratively with agencies and other services.
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and ICT
  • Access to transport and a full clean driving

The position is being offered on a full-time basis 39 hours per week. The position will be based in WLD’s Little Jobs Service Offices, Green Street, Wexford.

The salary for this position will be paid at the Department of Social Protection CE supervisor pay scales with new applicants commencing at point 1.
