A Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) is a community in which everyone works together to develop a sustainable energy system for the benefit of the community.

 

WLD are hosting the first information session for interested communities here in Co. Wexford. This event will take place in the Presentation Centre in Enniscorthy on the 31st of May at 7pm. Sustainable Energy Communities create safer, healthier and more energy efficient environments in which to live, work and play and have far reaching benefits.

 

This information session is open to all communities, networks or partnerships across Co. Wexford and is inclusive of voluntary sector, enterprise, public or business community partnerships. We will explain the mentoring supports, grant aid and other information that will help communities to avail of potential supports in their development as an SEC for 2017

 

The Sustainable Energy Authority (SEAI) of Ireland will sign three year partnership agreements to support communities develop sustainable energy communities. SEAI will also provide technical and financial supports to communities.
