Wexford Local Development has set up a series of workshops that will bring young people with experience of unemployment together, with a focus on advocating for better services and increased work opportunities for 18 – 25 year olds. The workshops will start on Tuesday, September 24th 2013 and continue until early 2014, with sessions taking place from 11am – 3pm, approximately every two weeks, in Enniscorthy.

Facilitated by Alice Mary Higgins, these workshops will help young people to make their voices heard to policy makers, employers and through the media and to advocate for a positive future for themselves and their peers across Co. Wexford. With the support of Co Wexford Age Equality Network, the workshops will look at how to engage with public representatives, how to lobby and how to air their concerns through the media.
