Local Employment Service (LES)

Travellers who are on a jobseeker’s payment are among the Pathways to Work clients who are referred directly from DSP to LES for one-to-one employment guidance. The service is provided in the four main centres in Enniscorthy, Wexford, Gorey and New Ross.

TUS

Similarly to the LES, Travellers receiving jobseeker’s payment are referred from DSP to TUS who meet with clients with a view to providing appropriate community work placements. In cases where suitable work placements are unavailable, clients are offered the opportunity to avail of other WLD services.

A small number of Travellers have participated on the scheme in Enniscorthy, New Ross and Wexford.
