Local Employment Service (LES)
Ireland's National Employment Service consists of 2 strands - the Local Employment Service Network (LESN), which operates mainly through Local Development Companies, and FÁS, the National Training & Employment Authority.
Funded by FÁS, the objective of Wexford Local Development’s Local Employment Service is to act as a gateway, or access point, to the full range of opportunities which are available to enable unemployed persons, living within the county, to enter/re-enter the labour market.
The services provided by Wexford Local Development’s Local Employment Service are tailored to the needs of each individual client and the local environment within which they operate.
The Local Employment Service provides the following practical services free to jobseekers:
- One to one guidance and support
- A personal career path planning service tailored to meet the needs of the individual
- Practical information and advice
- CV preparation
- Assistance with Cover Letters
- Job search facilities
- Employment options
- Self-Employment support
- Training programmes
- Education options
Where is Wexford Local Development’s Local Employment Service Located?
The Local Employment Service is located in Wexford, Gorey, Enniscorthy, and New Ross. We also provide a clinic service to Bunclody on a weekly basis.
