Age Equality Programme

Welcome to the Age Equality Programme –

Our aim is to:  

  • Provide a voice for older people living in our community  
  • Increase the extent and equality of social participation by older men and women in our community 
  • Provide supports for participation in education and training initiatives
  • Improve the design and delivery of basic services such as health and transport  

The Age Equality Programme is rolled out across the whole county and is primarily for men and women over the age of 55.   It encompasses a wide and varied programme ranging from art and craft initiatives to social and recreation opportunities to healthy living programmes.
