COMMUNITIES
Wexford Local Development works hand-in-hand with local communities in County Wexford to promote social inclusion, reduce poverty and disadvantage and encourage sustainable local and rural development.
Community development is the basis for our work, enabling people in local areas to become fully involved in articulating their needs and devising solutions. Our programmes are informed by the views and needs of local communities and aim to achieve tangible and sustainable development in Wexford.
WLD works with communities in the four areas of the County, targeting the most marginalised areas. We also work with communities of interest such as people with disabilities, the LGBT community and older people. The list of communities with whom we are currently focusing our work includes:

Smallholders: Tús programme support groups for farming men and women
